What is the standard size of a bunk bed?

Our standard bunk bed has two beds of the same size: 3' x 6' on the upper and the lower platform. Every bed can be made to a custom size to fit your room.

What size is a family bunk bed?

A family bunk has a bigger bed below and a single bed above. Our standard is a 6' x 6' lower bed with a 3' x 6' upper bed.

Can you make a bunk bed in a custom size?

Yes. Every bed is cut to your room in our own factory, so tell us your room length, width and ceiling height and we will size it for you.

How much extra space does a staircase need?

In our designs a staircase usually adds about 2 ft along the length. For example, a bunk with 6 ft platforms and a staircase is about 8 ft long in total. A ladder takes less space.

Is a mattress included?

No. Because each bed is made to your size, you can choose any mattress that fits the platform size.

These are starting points. Every bed is made to order, so we can make it longer, shorter, wider or narrower to suit your room.

How to measure your room

Length and width of the wall where the bed will go, in feet.
Ceiling height. The upper bunk needs comfortable head room, so we plan the bed height around your ceiling. Our designs range from about 5'6" to over 9' tall.
Doors, windows and switches on that wall, and which way the door opens.
Stairs or ladder side. Decide where the climb should be. In our designs a staircase usually adds about 2 ft to the total length; a ladder takes less space.
